I would like to redid my table of contents to a beaker on the left side of the page with the titles coming off the markings on the beaker. It was kept the same glassware that was used on my cover photo to keep a theme throughout my magazine. I like how there is less white space, however I am still working with the font so that it is easier to read.

My cover photo was updated to a plain picture background. The sub headings advertising other articles in my magazine are now visible and in a larger font. I kept the same pose with the model little more to one side of the screen and place her in front of a plain wall. I am happy with the revisions.

After presenting my magazine to the class, seeing it on the large screen there are meany revisions I would like to make and many that my peers suggested. I would first like to change the cover to a less busy photo. It was very hard to read the sub headings advertising other articles in my magazine. My peers suggested the same pose with the model little more to one side of the screen and place her in front of a plain wall. Next I would like to redo my table of contents to a beaker centralized on the page with the titles coming off the markings on the beaker. It was suggested by my peers to do the same glassware that was used on my cover photo to keep a theme throughout my magazine. Finally I would like to rearrange my two page spread so that it is more appealing to the eye. I am thinking of getting rid of the picture outlines, straighten up the columns and change the font.

My magazine does not necessarily represent social issues however, it can represent many social groups. I originally aimed this magazine towards future scientist but now I realize it can be extended. Not only the younger generation of scientist such as middle and high school students but college level students can take interest in the new science breakthroughs. I also believe that the professors in the research field would be interested in what the future generations are interested in and working on.

After reviewing my cover and article photos I am not happy with the cover photo. The busy background made it hard to read the articles titles. I have decided to schedule a second photo shoot for when we return to school where I can can then shoot with a less busy background. I would also like to take pictures of the lab equipment to use to make less white space on my table of contents.

The conventions I used in my magazine were used by many science magazines that I had researched. The single photo cover was used by national geographic to not over whelm the audience but to truly gather their attention. Having my model in the chemistry stock room gather the attention of those who work in the chemistry field. While the back is a little busy, there are only 2 other text boxes on the cover to keep the focus on the main article and interest the viewer to buy the magazine to see the rest. My table of contents is similar to that of a gossip magazine as I have pictures advertising the other article in my magazine. Using pictures as one of my convention I hope that one of the articles title and pictures will be eye catching to the reader and they will be interested in purchasing the magazine.
