There is a banner across the top that read, '300 Miles Per Gallon!' with a photo of some motor vehicle. There is a small outlines box in the upper right of the cover with a picture of the 'Gadget of the Month'. The box is captioned surround sound for your iPod.  What colors or text features are utilized? The white writing on the board are different math equations and variables. Using the math equation and galaxy on the cover, ties to the question at the top, 'what is genius?'. Project Selection- My Decision

Image
I have decided to do the Magazine for my project submission to Cambridge. I am an independent worker and feel that this would be the best option to fit my busy schedule. I would definitely work on my own for this project. I have a very creative side and I am excited to design and set up a magazine to show my creativity. I am most excited to create the cover of the magazine because I enjoy seeing all the covers on the magazines I have researched. Most are bright with minimal words and pictures that relate to each other and to the stories in the magazine. I am interested in creating a science magazine, featuring the future scientists of America. This would be close to my field of interest as I competitively do research. I most recently tested on stem cells at the University of Central Florida. If I do pursue this path I would like to interview those I worked with in the lab.  I am excited to further research and pursue my interests towards this project. While I am not a great...

Project Selection- Magazine

Image
After looking at examples from the previous years, I think doing a magazine will defiantly have its perks. I am an independent person and working by myself would best fit my schedule, making me lean more to the magazine. If I were to do this project I would do some sort of science magazine as that is what interests me.  I am creative in the planning and layout, so I am excited for that. One of my concerns is that I am not a strong writer, therefore will need many revisions on my featured article. We have gone over what features create a magazine and what keeps the readers attention. Therefore, I am excited to further explore magazines for inspiration and hints when creating my own.

Project Selection -Film

Image
In watching the Newsroom and other films, I have come to think that I can create a film for my final project. From watching the angle cuts, to the sounds edits and the transitions between scenes the Newsroom has opened up my eyes to the film world. If I were to do the Film I would have to be in the creative process rather than the final process. I am very creative and would enjoy creating the lay out and shots to use for filming, however with my OCD I would not like to be part of the filming or editing process. It would take me too long to get it how I like and to not see the vision that was already in my head... it is hard to changed an already persuaded mind. If I were to do this project I would like to do a flash back movie of sorts where there is a cliff hanger in the front of the film and then the film will explain how the character got to that. Ultimately, while this would be fun, I do not think that this project would be a good fit for my personality and work ethic.
